RUNSQL

RUNSQL for System i

CL (Control Language) is the easiest programming language on IBM’s i5/OS and widely used by System i shops.
SQL (Structured Query Language) is the universal database language on all platforms, DB2 for i5/OS included.
RUNSQL command (source included) allows you to marry these two pervasive languages to access and modify your database from CL scripts you already have.

NOTE: Presently, it’ll compile to V5R3, but it can easily be modified to run on previous releases as well.

If you modify the included source, you can use BLDRUNSQL program to rebuild all of the associated objects.
Consider sharing your modifications, ideas and enhancement requests with rest of the System i community by using our web submission form.
More feedback we receive, better the utility.
